Joanne works for ThoughtWorks, a global company that provides software delivery, pioneering tools and consulting for organizations with ambitious missions for the use of technology. Joanne’s professional passion is to find practical ways within organizations to provide enough control to give visibility and transparency into what is happening without bogging teams down in unnecessary activities that waste resources. She has worked many years in the trenches of IT – as a business analyst, technical writer, quality assurance analyst and a GRC analyst – for both startups and enterprise organizations. She is co-author (with Jez Humble and Barry O’reilly) of “The Lean Enterprise”, which is part of the Eric Reis’ Lean Startup series published by O’Reilly books.
